I have NextPvr working nicely on a Win 7 Pro PC. I "think" it's set up correctly to run as a server. It's been recording and playing shows for about a week.
I now need to set up one or more computers on my LAN to be able to run NextPVR as a client for remote accessing of the server.
The PC I need to use as an NextPVR client is a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit PC. During the install process I get an error " Server database not found at:\\hushpc\npvr\npvr.db3 ". If I click "OK" to ignore the error the install finishes with no other errors and the NPVR tray icon is shown. But nothing else works. Can't run the program or access any settings.
My first thought was Antivirus program and/or windows firewall issue. But I have both computers set up in a Windows home group and I can access the server npvr.db3 file manually from the Windows 10 PC which is where I'm trying to install an NPVR client.
I've a screen cap of something that doesn't look right to me. This is the Cliend Specific Settings on the Win 7 NPVR Server. Shouldn't there be something in the MAC address area ?
