Unfortunately I'm having to rebuild my NPVR main machine.

I exported the recordings and recurring recordings into their backups and then tried importing them on my new build.
The recurring recordings import no problem but when I try to import the recording-backup.xml NPVR says no recordings imported. No error is reported.

I've checked the recording-backup.xml file and it does contain all my recordings detail.

What would stop the recordings data from importing? Must my files actually be present as I've not attached the disk with them on yet?

Yes they do have to be present.

Yeah, it needs to be able to find the file at the path specified.

Thanks,

My power supply in my NPVR server keeps playing up and cutting out and for the second time it's trashed my system RAID 1 main disk. So decided to bite the bullet and rebuild the system with a new PSU and use Windows 10. That's brought its own problems given the motherboard's a few years old.
I was nervous about putting my recordings RAID array back in till I was sure thing were stable. (It takes a long time to rebuild a 4Tb Raid 1 array) hence the query above. :-)
