I paused it for over a hour and when I resumed playing I tried to skip forward past a commercial but instead of skipping 60 seconds it skipped ahead maybe 15 to 30 minutes and wouldn't return or skip back to where I originally paused causing me to miss some of what I was watching.

Sorry I only check the recent log the older one in npvr.log.2 shows the problem I was expected

2017-10-31 15:17:23.439 [DEBUG][1] Earliest available second is live tv buffer is 2651 (duration=3841) (slipseconds=1200)

You basically can't just skip the commercial because that part of the buffer is gone you have to skip to 20 minutes before the end of the rolling file. I am not sure why you can't start at the "new" location in the file.

Thank you I appreciate your response and will try not to pause it for long periods of time in the future. Just so I know is there a maximum length of time that I can pause for?

By default, it has a 20 minute pause buffer. You can tweak it in registry settings to make it longer.

Thank you. Would happen to know the registry path or key and would you have any recommendations on settings/ values?

If you know that you'll be away from the TV for a while, just hit the "record" button. That will save the rest of the show for you. Smile

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR
SlipSeconds=1200 (DWORD).

This is the default value if not specified. 20 minutes is 1200 seconds.

If you switch to EPG mode (for real NextPVR clients only) you might get all the current show and the last show, not sure how the queueing works for the OSD and multiple shows because sub hasn't extended EPG mode to Kodi ciients yet.

That DWORD is not at that location the only things there are "DataDirectory" and "InstallDirectory" do I need to create "SlipSeconds" if it doesn't exist?

Yeah, it's not normally there, and just uses the default value of 1200 (Decimal DWORD). Just create it if you want to specify some other value.
