Yeah - 10 years ago I was trying to decide whether to go for a Hard Disk Recorder or a Topfield when a google search on PVR brought up GB-PVR - I've been hooked on this remarkable piece of software ever since...

I've done some further tweaks to the forum software this morning. Hopefully it'll help.

Right after the update I noticed that anything posted on or after Oct. 11 was "new" for me, even if it was just a reply to a thread. It seems to be keeping track of read/unread quite well now.

Before the update ALL threads and replies would get marked read after 30 minutes or so, which made it difficult to know my place, especially if I was interrupted while reading something on the site. I would come back to find zero threads bolded any more. Now it's keeping track all the time, even between visits. Yay! Smile

I'm still unable to use "mark all messages read" and have to read all unread threads (even if of no interest) to get back to the old "normal" new posts (

Just tried that - logout, exit browser (firefox 47.0.2), restart and log in and it still gives the security tokens message when trying to mar all read.
When asking for new posts there is the "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts. " that I was hoping would go away with the mark all read option (that fails).
I'll try IE in a minute after I post this.

update. Just the same with IE

Sorry, I don't really have any suggestions for you. I have very limited options of what I can tweak about the forum software. I don't seem to be seeing that problem here though.

For the record, I'm using either Edge or Chrome.

OK, thanks for looking. I vaguely remember something similar to this in the dim and distant past, I'll have a browse round.
