Thank you Martin and Sub. My bad Sub I thought I was setting the configuration through the utility. Didn't know I was suppose to set using NPVR. Will do that and report back. Thanks again to both of you.

Well no joy on this attempt also. About ready to throw in the towel but I do love a good challenge. BTW now I cannot view the program through NPVR so I just double click on the channel to start the recording. The log is attached. Thanks.

Also set the AC3 decoder to LAV. I can see it's trying to use the Microsoft decoder.
I'd try playing a recording to see if you get anything. If not, try ticking the 'use legacy reader and demux' setting on the Settings->Decoders screen, and try playing the recording again to see if it helps.

Good day...I changed the settings as advised but still not getting recordings. Also, just to make sure we are all on the same page with what my issue is, I am not able to record on a regular basis. On the rare occasion I do get a recording, I am able to view it using WMP or something else. Just not viewable using NPVR. So for me that's fine as long as I can get NPVR to record, which is my number 1 issue. On recording NPVR acts as though it is recording because my selected TV show is highlighted in red. Also, when I do have Kodi running it indicates that a recording is taking place but yet the file within the TV show folder is empty and indicating 0 kb.

You'd need to upload logs to help explain the recording failure. Again that has nothing to do with the codecs settings.

Sorry I thought I attached it. Yes, I understand that codecs only apply to the playback/viewing of material. Again I am interested in fixing the recording issue as I can watch the recording through other means when a recording does not fail. Thank you.

snaitaz Wrote:Sorry I thought I attached it. That .rar won't open for me. There is a button at NextPVR Settings --> About that will zip the NextPVR logs. Plus, please tell us the date and time of the recording so that we know where to look in the logs. Thanks.

Did you try my suggestion of ticking the 'Use legacy NPVRTSReader and Microsoft Demux'?

I used the saf codec package. It was simple hassle free. It will also uninstall the lav codecs and reinstall them pre-configured. When installing the saf pack install the key file first then the install the main codec pack. (2 Downloads). The site is a little tricky but the download links are just at the bottom of the green banner. Once installed then go back and choose your decoders in NextPVR. you will notice you now have more choices to choose from. I choose lav on all of them (audio and video codecs)and it works in windows 10/7. hope this helps http://hobring.esero.net/saf/binary/ |
