How to grab xmltv file for IPTV service?

My IPTV service works in NextPVR but apparently it can't grab the XML file for the guide, is there an easy to use program that can do this and unpack the file which is compressed in a .gz? I can manually download the file and extract it.
Edited to add: I just tried adding some channels from the xml file I extracted but I still get no details from the guide so apparently the file doesn't work.

Have you upgraded to 4.0.5? From the release notes:

yes, I upgraded, before the new version every channel was channel 1 now the channel numbers and names are correct just nothing in the guide.

Could PM me the m3u and xmltv urls? I'll briefly check them to see what is happening.
