Service and GUI don't start on Windows 10 Fall creators update (1709)

Does the Services control panel indicate the service is running? Do you have the nrecord.log?

No the logs I posted are all the logs - the service is not running nor can it run due to same error as tvfiend :

I don't know why you only sent partial logs but I checked a recent post of yours where you ahd an installation in NRecord.log for

2017-11-22 17:56:50.401 [INFO][4] Setting working directory to: D:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\

and now it is running from the C Drive.

Well may not be Windows problem per se, but it only happened after installing the fall update - I was using NPVR right up to the time it upgraded and as soon as the upgrade finished NPVR did not work - so lets say it is windows fall update related at least.

Oh and yes, I have always had NPVR installed on the D: Drive, so if it is now pointing at C: it is not through any input from me!

It was a quick fix - I just uninstalled the fall update :-)
The roll back only took a few minutes (compared to the upgrade which took ages with multiple restarts), and NPVR worked fine as soon as it restarted from the roll-back.
Maybe having NPVR on a drive other than C: causes some issue, but I will stay away from the fall update for now...
