I really haven't played with the On Demand stuff since I get all that I want from Sonarr. I did notice, however, if you select an On Demand item, what it does for me is to start recording that item, which shows up in Recordings. The couple of items I played with did start recording, however, and I could watch what was being recorded.
What is supposed to happen currently, is that when you select an item on the list, it starts a recording of an on demand show (effectively downloading it and doing an on-the-fly conversion to .ts), then starts playback of the recording. This allows you to watch / skip around in the growing portion that has been downloaded. When the download is complete, the recording is left available in your Recordings screen. If you'd cancelled it before the download was complete, like you started watching it, and stopped soon after, the recording is deleted.

But. that doesn't mean it's illegal or prosecutable for someone to receive it as long as they're not promoting or reselling the service. As far as I can tell no one has been prosecuted for receiving IPTV channels. You should probably avoid becoming an associate reseller if you're really concerned. Besides, you can always route the IPTV signal through a VPN. I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more about this topic in the future!

Which VPN do you use with ACE TV?
I'm using PureVPN and it's really causing a problem.

At this time I'm nor using a VPN and the service is working fine for me. You might want to check out this article if you already haven't: https://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2403388,00.asp

What do you mean? Are you getting incorrect times in your guide? If so, this is likely something you'd need to talk to your IPTV provider about, and would be wrong for all their users.

Usually the listings would arrive with UTC start/end times, and NextPVR stores them as UTC times. They're only converted for display in the TV Guide. It does this by asking Windows to convert the UTC times to local times. If it Windows is converting these wrong, it'll be because you've got the wrong timezone set on your PC, or you don't have your PC set to auto adjust for daylight savings.

Thanx for the link.
It looks like NORD may be slightly better than PureVPN, but I bought into Pure some time ago.
By the way, do you notice any problem with the time in your EPG?

After checking into it a bit more, it appears I do not have a time problem with my EPG.
Chalk it up to a senior moment.

So is the content your IPTV sending you legal to watch in the US? If it is free then the answer is probably no and the IPTV is located outside of the US. If you are paying and the IPTV is located outside of the US the answer more than likely , again no. Why? Content is licensed based upon geographical location, i.e. US, Europe, Japan, India, Australia. You get the picture. If the content is licensed, let say, in Europe, whoever is streaming it can not be streamed back to the US. This is copyright infringement(in US).

Are they coming after me. In the US, the chances of the law, i.e. criminal charges, are pretty low. They got bigger fish to go after. Now the owner of the copyright, or a company/law office hired by one or more copyright holders, you chance of a civil suit just went up. In the past, the preferred method was to go after the downloader. Now, the preferred method is to go after the sender. Why, see this article: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014...s-lawsuit/.

So, in the US, for the individual, the probabilities are on your side. But we are talking probabilities which means you are roiling the dice and they could come up snake eyes. A civil lawsuit could hold you responsible for thousands of dollars in damages. Criminal charges may leave you with a felony record, accompanied by up to five years of jail time and fines up to $250,000(for each infringement). Let's say you win. You will still have attorney fees that can easily be 6 figures. Do you have a spare $10,000.00 sitting around. This is the upside and the downside. Each of you has to make his/her own decision.

sub,

I haven't been able to get any of the OnDemand movies to work at all.
It just says "getting stream, waiting for stream, and finally times out"
The last time I checked my speed it was 120 Mbps.

If I select from the Guide it seems to work fine.

Can you tell me what date your C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\Other\ffmpeg.exe file is?
