Recommend an IPTV service

I'm using Vaders and am quite happy with it but I had to have Sub's help to get it working in Npvr. I don't use on demand in Npvr so I'm not sure how that would work.

Can you share if there are any oddities I would need to be aware of, I'm not getting anywhere at the moment, but have not as yet gone full throttle - currently wondering why my logs are dated 2017 even after an erase and restart.

I had some issues setting it up originally but now it works pretty well, I just use the same setup I use for perfect player.

Yes, I spotted that yesterday . It's a good job I had a docs appointment yesterday or I could have been 80 quid down.......
Now all I have to do is fix my database having inadvertently loaded the channel list from the EPG file :eek: I thought it was taking a long time!

That's annoying, they've been a very reliable service....I guess this is another good example of why I have the big red warning on the IPTV device setup screen.

I just found this thread. Great discussion about IPTV qualities and legalities.

It appears most of IPTV users are from developed countries like US, UK, AUS, NZ, etc...
I rarely see posts from (say..) Pakistan, Mongolia, even Japan, Russia. Unless they are very satisfied customers, they sure keep quite.
US, UK, etc..users are more vocal and demand reasonable quality of service even from illegal IPTV.

Here's a question.
If you live in US, UK, etc..(as I read most who posted here are from), why do you bother with IPTV?
As discussed illegalities, potential problems with law, etc...not to mention you still have to pay for internet anyway.
Why not just get local cable, satellite, etc...? You get internet, cable w/ DVR, telephone for under $100 +/-.
Internet alone is over 60% of that cost.
Then you got legal and more reliable service to watch all you want. Plus DVR (sorry NPVR) which is great.
When we lived in US 10yrs ago, for under $100, no hassle, watched anything we wanna.
I am sure things are much better than 10yrs ago, cheaper, more options, certainly faster internet (100MB+).

In order to use IPTV, you have to get internet, VPN, then watch over your shoulder expecting nasty letter from ISP any day not to mention lawsuits.
All for what? so you have save few bucks? (that's what I see those who are justifying IPTV use).
Or you are into not paying for anything, free IPTV, Kodi addons(it don;t work), etc...(which I think is the case)

I can understand IPTV for people living outside US, UK, etc.. Expats or locals want US, UK channels.
Like us in jungle, we are lucky to get internet muchless US programs like LIVE games.
So we have no choice but to use IPTV. (lucky torrents cus nobody cares here), BTW you can get torrent still in US, need little trick.

Let's take worst case, say, it all cost $200, so after internet, VPN, IPTV (your cost is say..$70-$90??)
So for little over $100 savings, you are willing to risk legalities and bad service?
I seen people argue this. They just can't afford extra money. Really? If you that poor then why you need to watch tv shows/movies?
Maybe time be better spent increasing your income?

Maybe I got it all wrong? Are there legitimate use for IPTV in your countries?

We do have legit IPTV services in NZ that you can use with NextPVR, which provides most of our freeview channels via the internet, with TV guide. This service is region locked to NZ.

There is also legitimately available channels on the internet, like BBC World Service, NasaTV, RT, etc, which people might want to add to the TV they receive locally.

I'm sure there is a lot of reasons people use these services though. Some times it's to get content not readily available in their country, which is fairly common even in countries like AUS and NZ. Some times people want a way to watch the occasional sports event (say a game every couple of weeks), without committing to a 1-2 year contract of a $100+ a month just for a TV service which includes sports package. etc...

I don't know where you lived in the US, but I'm not aware of any place here where you could "get internet, cable w/ DVR, telephone for under $100 +/-". Here just basic cable (broadcast channels, home shopping, public access, etc.) without DVR + Internet is going to cost around $100! (When you include the taxes, cable tv fees, rental equipment fees, etc.) They do tend to increase the Internet speed, but they don't lower the price (or add lower speed/cheaper options). And they entice you with initial, term contracts at (significantly) reduced rates, but then they will jack the price up to "list price" after the term ends. I think that most cable bills in the US for the packages you listed would be more in the $200-$300 range!

I'm not advocating trying to use illegitimate IPTV services to break the law or get around this. But as sub said, there are some legitimate services which can be used to help reduce costs. (For instance, subscribe to a small cable TV package, but then add 1 or 2 cable channels that you want without having to pay for a huge package bundle from the cable company.)
