NPVR for Android box

Yesterday, I installed the NPVR android app on my T95Z Plus Smart TV Box Running Android 7.1 OS. This is just to let those who might be curious how it works on that device that it works fairly well as long as you have an air mouse. The major drawbacks are that since it was meant for a phone, some of the screens are a little difficult to read in the fifteen foot enviroment, and playback of videos is limited to start, pause, and exit. I was unable to find any way to fast forward or skip at this time. The dropdown screen indicators are really small but they do work with the air mouse. At this time the only real use for the app is the ability to delete recordings and to set reccordings on the Windows server, and to see what the scneduled recordings are.

Personally, I think it was worth it to install the app and I look forward to it improving in functionality in the weeks/months ahead.

FYI, the current release does have semi working Android TV support, and much of it can be driven with a remote, including navigating around the menus, skipping during playback etc. It's doesn't officially have Android TV support enabled in Play store yet though, so maybe it thinks you're running it as a phone/tablet device, and disables these aspects. FYI, the app on my device doesn't look like the one you're showing, Sub. It looks like the pictures on the phone. The remote works on all of the screens but the guide, and you have to drag it up or down with the mouse. No skips or ff on playback although playback looks good other than that. Will ComSkip edits work on the app playback?

Sub, I've ordered an Nvidia Shield. How did you load the app on it? I'm assuming it wasn't downloaded directly from the app store or it would be running like mine is.

I'm not sure. Maybe the Android TV type support wont enable itself until I enable Android TV support in the play store. I'm reluctant to enable it just yet though, since I've got more work to on Android TV support. If I enable it now, it'll just lead to bad ratings/reviews, and this will discourage future users from trying it.

FYI, the shield has a very minimal remote, but I had it showing the time line when you press left/right. A short press jumps 10 seconds. A long press jumps 60 seconds.

Will ComSkip edits work on the app playback?

I don't have any immediate plans for that - lot sof other stuff I need to do before then.

Sub - If you want any testing done on an Android TV (Sony KD-65XE9305 running Android 7) I'm happy to sideload an APK if it helps

Sub is there a way I can buy the apk file from you so I can sideload it and see if it will work better than the appstore version?
