FFDSHOW settings

Hi.

What extra configuration do I need to do to get ffdshow to work?

Even after I switched my NextPVR video decoder from the original "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" to "ffdshow" I get audio but not video.

I am using HDHomeRun LAN tuner and their native app gives me both video and audio (it worked fine before and still works after I installed ffdshow).

I don't have ffdshow installed, so cant post a screenshot. From memory, ffdshow has MPEG2 support disabled by default. In the Settings->Decoders screen, click the '...' button next to the decoder you've set to ffdshow, and you should see the ffdshow settings screen. On the Codecs list find MPEG2, and set it to one of the enabled options.

Or, switch to the LAV decoders instead...

LAV and ffdshow are both wrappers on the libavformat/libavcodec libraries, but LAV is more current, and seems to be a lot more popular these days.
