Digital Devices Cine S2 - 'Failed to start device: 0x80004005'

Hello!

I am thinking about replacing the MediaPortal TV Server with NextPVR.

1. So I disabled the MPTVService
   
2. restarted the PC
   
3. installed NextPVR
   
4. launched NextPVR
   
5. and tried to do a tv channel scan
   

Sadly NextPVR throws the error 'Failed to start device' for all of my 2 Digital Devices Cine S2

Anyone an idea what is going on here? Logs are attached.

I have also attached an image of what the graph looks like that the Media Portal TV Server builds for the Digital Device Cine S2. Not sure why the NPVR log says 'No BDA capture filter for this device' as MP uses BDA as well as you can see.

I have now tried to uninstall the Media Portal TV Server and I installed the latest drivers for the Digital Devices Cine S2.
NextPVR is still unable to use them.

I renamed the old one from Unmanaged.dll to Unmanaged.org and put yours into the NPVR folder.

Sadly the cards still don't work. Attached are new logs.

If you're up for letting me remote into your machine some time with teamviewer, for say 15 minutes, I'd like to check a few things, then I'm pretty sure I'd be able to get it going.

The problem is basically because Digital Devices isn't correctly following the Microsoft standard for a thing called 'pin mediums' which applications use to tell which components go together, causing the bits to fail to hookup correctly. I could see the issue in your filtercheck.txt, which lists the pin mediums, and that last patch was an attempt to work around it, but obviously still not quite right.

Sure! But I guess I should install the EN language pack first as my W10 currently is in German.

Done. System now uses EN as display language.

Hi I have the exact same issue now. I just upgraded to Win10 April 2018 major update and suddenly nextPVR can no longer scan my Digital Devices Cine Card. I have tested that it works ok in another app such as DVBDream. I'm using DVB-T tuners and DVB-S tuners and I dont know what to do, should I revert back with a system image or is there some fix that you know of which I can do myself...

apologies for the long delay, i didnt recheck this until now, here's the log file. i tried reverting to an earlier nextpvr version but they all fail with the same error. log file attached.
