Here are the specs of my server and what the server is doing with one and then two streams playing. I get choppy audio and lagging video with menus slao as well.
I thought my server met the NextPVR specs. I could be wrong.
All advise appreciated.
Thank you,
Bruce

Based on the stats, it doesn't seem to be CPU, disk or memory, however, it appears network may be the bottleneck.

- Are you playing locally (on the server) or via a client (separate host).
- I see all your active tv (1 recording 5 live) are via IPTV, which is likely why your network is maxed.
- I see teamviewer running, do you have active sessions going? If so, that could contribute to network congestion

Since all your video is coming from the net, I suspect you are over taxing your NIC which is causing the poor experience.

Thank you for responding.
I did not think it was the cpu. I am only running live to on the server, and two other streams locally. One thru kodi and one on the nextpvr client. All hardwired. I do notice from time to time nextpvr does not always release the channel. I do not always have teamviewer running. Just this time when i took the pic.
How do i resolve the nic from over working?

I know I seem to be beating a dead horse but logs would have helped with the pictures. Are any of your IPTV streams m3u8, if so they could be transcoded not streamed.

Given you want to steam clients and IPTIV can you configure gigabit LAN instead of 100Mb,.

In that resource monitor picture, it looks like you're network is 10Mbps, and running at 100% utilization.

Yes, I figured out the issue. Looks like my server has a gigabit nic and the cable company router is Gigabit but I had a 100Mb switch in between. Switched to a gigabit switch and all my problems have gone away for now. Knock on wood...

Sorry for the inconvenience with all the posting I have done...

you must have had a bad cable or bad switch port in there somewhere, as your network stats show a 10mb connection not 100mb (and 100mb would have been plenty of bandwidth). either that, or you had a (very) old 10mb switch or hub <horror>.

either way, my point is that you should check your cables, even if you have things working now. if a bad cable was causing the 10mb connection, you still have a problem but it's just working faster on the gigabit switch.

Johnson42,
Never thought it may have been a bad cable. Never encountered that before. I will go ahead and replace all cables soon. I can assure you I do not ave any 10mb switches...
Thank you for your input.
