So today I went to watch some HDTV through GB-PVR and got nothing. I played around with it for a bit and figured out that the Capture Device numbers play a role in whether or not GBPVR actually recognizes the hardware. (In this instance, GB-PVR wouldn't recognize ANY of my capture devices if I set them to anything other than Capture Device 1.) My question is this, does the capture device numbering correspond to the physical number of like hardware you have installed in your HTPC (i.e. two PVR-150s, two Fusion 5s) or does the capture device numbering correspond to which device is set as the primary, secondary, and so forth?

Its the instance number of the driver you're using.

If you have two PVR150s, and two fusion 5s, then we are talking about two different sets of drivers, with an instance for each physical device. One of the PVR150s will be #1, the other will be #2, likewise one of the Fusions will be #1, the other will be #2.

...and the PVR-500 uses #1 and #2, one for each tuner of the same type.
You can never have enough tuners!
