Hi,

on xmltv.org I read the grabber for germany has been removed due to copyright reasons and on http://xmltv.org/wiki/xmltvworlddomination.html germany is shown in white.

As I live in germany I wonder where others get their xmltv data from? Anyone reading this, helping me out?

what im using is TV-Movie Clickfinder to grab the EPG data:
http://www.tvmovie.de/ClickFinder_Free.183.0.html

and TVM2XML:
http://home.arcor.de/w.schneider.bln/tvm2xml

to convert TVMovie's data to XMLTV format which you can feed into GBPVR. This works without problems so far.

You might alswell try nexTView which gets its data via videotext from Kabel1:
http://nxtvepg.sourceforge.net/index-de.html

I can only agree that ClickFinder is the best EPG option for Germany. I had troubles with adding an analogue tuner to my current DVB-T setup for recording off of UnityMedia cable.

I ended up scrapping my DVB-T EPG, and running all three capture sources directly from the ClickFinder data. There are two downsides: content is not free (you pay € 12.99 per year for the full EPG data) and consequently if you use all 14 days the EPG is quite huge (my gbpvr.db3 is around 16MB) -- meaning that the HTML responsiveness is not as good as it was.

The freeware tool "cf2xml" then converts the ClickFinder data over to an XMLTV source for GBPVR to import.

Cheap Medion Minitower, but it's quiet enough
- Windows 11x64
- Digital Devices DVB-C PCIe (1x Cine quad and 1x Cine dual)
- LG C2 with Jellyfin front end, NPVR back end
- 30TB storage, ~7,500 films

I might be a little late on this...still, this might be of interest:

I'm running both tv_grab_prisma (http://sfr.mythwiki.de/) AND the tv-mvie thingy on my linux box. Prisma usually has EPG-data for like 2-3 weeks ahead, whereas tv-mvie EPG-data generally is more comprehensive but only 10 days ahead.
Have been using nxtvepg in the past, too, but this is clearly the worst choice, as you only get 4-5 days of EPG for most channels and a lot of the channels aren't available at all.

Hello,

what source may I use in Germany for epgdata to convert it in xmltv now in the year 2010?

xmltv.org neither supports tv_grab_tvtoday nor tv_grab_eu_epgdata in the windows-version anymore.

tvm2xml together with tvmovie-clickfinder does not seem to work anymore either, at least not on windows 7.

tv_grab_prisma seems to work only on linux. I need a xmltv-grabber that works on windows.

In the hope that anybody can help me

mc2xml used to work in Germany. Does it still work? As of Summer 2008 TVXB worked with one of the ini files provided (don't remember which one).
