I am assuming that by stream this includes NextPVR Freeview UK recordings because since that change made in 4.2.4 I have not had a zero length recording (I used to get them regularly prior to this version ) so that's great!
Live TV plays through glitches that I see on screen but can still drop out of playback if I skip backwards presumably when skipping past a glitch.
So I wondered if any more improvement in this area is possible?

There is two bits to the stream.

1) There is metadata, which holds information about the stream (where to find the audio/video streams etc, and names of channels etc). The 4.2.4 change that improved resilience was in the parsing of this metadata, after I noticed that reception issues leading to certain parts of this metadata being broken, could cause the application to crash. That is no longer the case.

2) There is audio/video streams. NextPVR has no idea if there was any loss of audio/video packets, and just passes them along to the audio/video decoders, which are responsible for checking the data, and deciding if it's good enough for it to show etc.

If you want to post the logs showing this, I'll see if anything stands out.

I can't reproduce it at the moment, will post logs if I do. I have started another thread which may be related: Black screen at start of play - sometimes.

Not to hijack the thread but I have some recordings that plays with fast forward from the start, audio skips to keep up....
