Greetings friends,

I've been running kodi and with a media portal backend and was having stability issues so I switch the backend to nextpvr, it's running fine but there's a few things I really miss with the MP setup. In media portal the EPG data showed the original air date, this is so useful. I found the "new" flag but it's just not the same and there's no indication of "new" on the data viewing / watching via kodi which I do. Is there a way to get the original air date, I'm using schedules direct via the native nextpvr client built in. The second thing and I'm not sure if this would be the kodie backend client or nextpvr but In kodi when I'd view my recordings while using MP it would show the disk size and usable space left for recording disk in the lower right hand corner. This was also very useful because it helped keep tabs on recording space used and space left. And, the last thing...recording retention time. Is there a way to set retention time or a trigger like once it's watched to delete it?

Thanks!

There is a "keep" option when creating the recording ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ings#toc32

@neal you posted in the wrong forum, there is a dedicate sub forum further down for questions on Kodi as a well as a wish list sub forum.

1) For the original air date v5 of NextPVR is in development and it is possible that this field can be added. Which skin are you using that shows it? I don't want to do any hacks to add it to the addon

2) Currently the disk size is not supported in the addon. There is a file and disk view in Kodi that could works linearly like the windows file explorer, however my feeling is it is not well suited to users who span series over several disks and archive volume and it becomes awkward to use. Often adding a drive makes more sense than worrying about drive space.

3) Some other PVR programs do allow managed deletes where files are removed from the recording lists but not physically deleted until the PVR needs space. NextPVR currently does not support this feature.

I'm using the default kodi skin..whatever that is. In media portal it shows the original date with the current date in the description field for the guide enty you're looking at. Same skin using nextpvr and it only shows the current date and they guid doesn't show the "new" flag either like it does in the native nextpvr guide.

Anyways thanks for the answers you provided, much appreciated.

The new flag is not supported in Kodi. I was experimenting with this look but the NextPVR API needs work and it would be better if it was done via the skins in v19. You might want to open this there.

For the life of me I cannot see the original air date in Kodi v18 with Estuary can you provide a screen shot? I can update the skin and add the missing tag but that is not what I want to do.
