External Streaming

I'm trying to get external streaming going, I have external set to true in the config-web.xml, i can login to NEWA and get the main page, but if i click on 'Now' for Live TV there is nothing to click on, I see this in the logs:

I've xxx'd out the IP address

Bump any ideas?

im having the same issue, for some reason the public IP address of my router is showing when trying to remotely access.

The public routable IP of your router is what you should be seeing for remote access. Without a better idea of what you are trying to access that is as much help as I can give.

Hi thanks Martin for your reply. Great software by the way, really like it.

Attached is my log zip of that helps. Looking closer at the logs, It seems that any remote streaming is blocked from a public IP, internally is fine. Both with full port forwarding and putting the server in DMZ. weird. Affects nlite and all browser access.

My last resort this evening was to try a netgear router instead of the draytek, similar setup but with with a change in NAT.

On the Settings->Client screen, do you have external access enabled?

I believe that one setting is ok,

@kam is it possible you didn't change the default PIN 0000 is not allowed remotely.

For streaming you also need to change these defaults to true.

<AllowRemoteTranscode>false</AllowRemoteTranscode>
<AllowRemoteStreaming>false</AllowRemoteStreaming>

Yes external (web) access is enabled, pin has been changed from 0000.

one thing, where do i find & change the settings you mention below to true:

<AllowRemoteTranscode>false</AllowRemoteTranscode>
<AllowRemoteStreaming>false</AllowRemoteStreaming>

in the web.config file perhaps?

will change it and report back.

Looking at the logs more carefully I think your upload speed is the biggest problem, the logs are basically normal. Quality playback from the modern interface is very dependent on the browser you are using and nlite needs full bandwidth for streaming.

Yes the bandwidth seems to be the last issue now. All seems to be working with the two settings changed. Will get my internet contention ratio changed.
