NextPVR AppleTV app - PLEASE READ

The first public release of the AppleTV application (v1.4) is now available in the App Store.

Overview
This sticky thread will cover any frequently asked questions on the iOS apps, and will be updated as more info comes to hand.

This client application is available in the app store in all regions, at a cost of US$6.99. This fee will help me cover the cost of hardware I purchased for the development and testing of the Apple applications, and for the membership in the Apple developer program.

Please post any support threads here in the 'NextPVR iOS Client' forum. This is also the right place to post feature suggestions for the Apple TV app.

This is an entirely new application, and it's not flawless, but I will be actively working to resolve any issues that are found, and will be providing regular updates. (Make sure you give me a chance to resolve any issues before rating the app on the App Store )

Requirements
This client application requires NextPVR v4.2.2 or above.

1.5 was released on the App Store earlier this week

changes

- Fixed an issue where some channels would only show guide listings until midnight of the first day
- Fixed issue where recurring recordings list could show incorrect artwork
- Fixed issue where selecting a recurring recording could sometimes cause a crash

2.0 was released on the App Store today

changes:

- better support for NextPVR v5 (which is now available on Windows/Mac/Linux/Docker)
- improvements in focus management when moving between menu and content
- swiping up or down in live tv now shows a mini TV guide, to change channels without going back to the previous screen
- better use of asynchronous networking apis for more a responsive application while downloading channel/recordings artwork etc
- fixed a couple of bugs that could lead to application crashes
- several small visual improvements to the UI

Some users have had an issue with the recent recording list in the latest 2.0 release of the Apple TV app, when using NextPVR v4.x. An updated NShared.dll fixes this:

3.0 was released on the App Store today

changes

Improved compatibility with newer versions of tvOS.
Now has a different looking tab bar at the top of the application (Apple changed the look and behaviour of this component).
Improved TV guide navigation screen with touch remote. You can tap the top/left/right/botton side of the touch pad on the remote for a single step in that direction, or press the touch pad and drag in a direction (it'll do the first couple of moves slowly, then speed up in that direction)
Now has separate Recordings and Scheduler tabs.
Fixed issue where guide could be empty on brand new install until channel group was explicitly set.
Fixed issue where shows cancelled in the Scheduler screen could still be marked red in the TV Guide screen.
Added pause/seek in live tv when using a NextPVR v5 server.
Added resume function when playing recordings that have already been played
Added the ability to delete recordings by using a long press on the on the remote.
Added ability to manually add server, for those that are running their server in Docker or other environments where auto discovery is not possible.
Added genre coloring

Added ability to select audio track, and subtitle track when watching recordings or live tv. These can be selected by a long press of the remote touch pad while watching.
