Snifi, to give Sub a chance you may want to post your exact error you're getting. Maybe you're getting the "Failed to communicate with the GB-PVR recording service" error, which I get on both the PC and MVP end. I know the recording service is running, but I haven't played around with it yet, so maybe it's just something I'm doing.

jeffcora is right, a little more information about the error would be good. I'm guessing you dont have the mp3 encoder installed. From the original v0.19 release announcement:
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">- Added FM Radio support - requires capture card that supports it (such PVR350/PVR USB2/PV258TF) and LAME MP3 encoder filter to be installed. You can get this free from http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directshow/lame_dshow.zip. [/QUOTE]

the error i get is: "no tuner was available to enable you to record the requested station" i don't know what to do because the wintv radio application works... thanks for help :-)

were you recording a tv program at the time? the PVR350 can only do one thing at a time so it's either radio or tv (recording).

Can you zip and email over you log files from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. Include a brief description so I know what the logs are for.

It was also with 0.19 as now in 0.20 I downloaded LAME from the link posted here and unzipped it in the devnz folder and run the reg.bat. FM with the hauppauge application is ok.

You need to have two things to listen to FM radio:
- the LAME encoder filter mentioned above - a capture device that has an FM Tuner. I suspect you're getting the error due to the second one of these. What card type did you select when you set up you capture source? Only some of them support the FM tuner.

Aarghhhh.
It's a PVR 350. But as capture device a PVR 250 was selected. Thank you, sub! |
