That <ExtraRecordingDirectories> needs to encode both a name and a path. ie,

<ExtraRecordingDirectories>KIDS~D:\Kids~MOVIES~D:\Movies~</ExtraRecordingDirectories>

So these bits are separated by ~ characters, and go in pairs, so for that example....
"KIDS" records to "D:\Kids"
"MOVIES" records to "D:\Movies"

I'll end up adding the ability to add paths on the Settings screen, to take away the 'user error' factor of manually editing config files.

Here is what I have...
    <RecordingDirectory>G:\recordings\</RecordingDirectory>
    <ExtraRecordingDirectories>G:\movies\</ExtraRecordingDirectories>
    <RecordingDirectoryTranslation>d:\temp~\\someserver\someshare</RecordingDirectoryTranslation>
    <LiveTVBufferDirectory>C:\Users\Public\buffer\</LiveTVBufferDirectory>

The ExtraRecordingDirectories  is what I modified.

I deleted the ExtraRecordingDirectories line in the config file and that seems to fix it.

I couldn't wait so I tried a recording using the correct format.

<ExtraRecordingDirectories>MOVIES~G:\movies~</ExtraRecordingDirectories>

No, you can’t rename DEFAULT at this stage. I’ll keep it in mind for a future update though.

As sub said, you can't change the label for the DEFAULT directory. But you can add another entry in the ExtraRecordingDirectories list which points to the same folder as the default if you just want to "clarify" what you types of files are stored there. (i.e. have "TV Shows" also point to the same directory)
