i currently have 2 hauggauge tuner card in my computer (250and a 500MCE). both are installed with no apparent conflicts or other issues. my question is how do i control each one individually? if i want to watch tv on the 250 and have the 500 record 2 shows at once, how do i go about it? or have the 250 record a set of channels and the 500 on another group? right now gbpvr is tuned to the 250 but the inculded wintv app is now configured to the 500. basically i just want to be able to manipulate both cards to my liking wintin gbpvr.

You cant control them. GB-PVR does that. You have 3 devices and if you record on 2 then you can watch on the third. However you can see what its doing by opening GB-PVR in window mode and open the tray icon and look at recording status.

You can set up a unique set of channels for each card. AFAIK it's the only way.
You can never have enough tuners!

Jorm has been working on forcing capture sources to a specific tuner when you schedule with the CDK scheduler, but I do not know if it's released yet... But anyway, GBPVR can modify the capture source afterwards, so whereas you can control how many shows will be recorded simultaneously, it's impossible to clearly predict which tuner will be used

I have a tuner that has problems recording audio on certain channels. I have gotten around this by recording the show through the scheduler and seting up a manual recording at the same time. (I then go and delete the recording with no audio).

I tried to delete the channel from the offending tuner but it was still showing in Live TV but blank. I didn't keep this configuration going as I thought GB-PVR would still try to record this channel and end up with a blank recording.

My question is: If I delete this channel from the offending cards channel lineup, is GB have enough control to schedule the "good" card to record that channel?

AFAIK if you delete a capture source then all the pending shows assigned to it are gone to. Way I do it is go to the web interface and copy and paste all the pending shows into notepad and add the missing ones once you have resolved the problem. I removed a PVR350 and added a Nova-T yesterday and it worked OK
