This is a continuation of the my thread on the V4. V5 is currently unusable for me and I am seeking guidance.

Few up front things.  Raspberri Pi's run openelec 7.0.1, windows 10 1903 I believe HDhomerun dual tuners

A few issues that I am running into:

1) NextPVRServer Error - issue can be seen at 17:20 of Nrecord on 11/6, not sure what is causing this or what is effected about it.
2) Openelec play back on RPI2 set to access back in through port 8867 freezes, transcoding issue or not feeding MPEG2? Logs indicate a test.ts instead of the live tv feed, doesn't make sense...
3) Access to port 8867 is a bit weird.  RPI can pull information, I can access via localhost:8867 however any other access is denied.  HTTP server setup does not access 8867, but 8866 (V4) works like a dream. 127.0.0.1 will not access 8867 either.

For the time being I am using V4 to feed the house.

Thanks for any help

This error can be ignored. It's only happening because you've got NextPVR v4 and NextPVR v5 installed at the same time.

On your NextPVR Server, can you bring up the http://localhost:8867 and see the NextPVR v5 web app?

You are running a really old version of Kodi and you must turn off timeshifting because v5 is still telling legacy devices that it is supported in the setting.list API

Yes I can login via localhost however 127.0.0.1:8867 gives me an http 404 error.

I am able to watch TV via the web app.

Thanks for the information, I will give it a try! I run this version since it seems like the newer versions want to overheat my RPI's.  I may look into an update version.

The change that mvallevand suggested worked for me. I am able to stream live tv to my RPI's. Now I would just like to figure out the lack of access on the 8867 port from anything from local host. any ideas?

Sounds like firewall a/v protection is getting in the way.

So I am working on the remote access issue, using netstat I came up with the following,

TCP 192.168.50.85:8867 OpenELEC:43864 ESTABLISHED
[NextPVRServer.exe]

Since this is established, does it block other access? IF so can open up another port to allow access to the same program to get access?

I turned off my A/V and tested still nothing being communicate on that port

-update, tried a different port, didn't work...

Send a kodi debug log from the RPi and I will have a look.

ok I switch from the legacy version of openelec to the newest version. Disconnected all RPI's access web page via server, can operate everything from local host but nothing can access it from outside of localhost... I will probably give up at this point and live with 4.2.5 until v5 is ready to go...
