Metadata in Windows 10 Explorer

Hello

Can anybody tell me how to add more descriptive programme metadata or info such as recorded programme episode content or overview or recorded programme description to the details pane in Windows Explorer? At the moment, all I get is the basics such as Title, File size, running time etc.

It would help with archiving and storage of material and the retrieval thereof.

TS files from NextPVR don't typically allow metadata. You can remux them to mp4 for full editing if you must have this feature. Typically for movies and TV shows the possible EPG information that is in the saved title (Season, Episode, Name, Subtitle, Movie Year) is good enough for archiving. Kodi, Plex, Emby and several utilities can all generate more meta data based on a good filename.

Thanks. The info is there within the .ts file because you can see it in NPVR. I just want to know how to see it in Windows.

It's only available in a custom format that Windows Explorer will not understand.
