100% success... Alright I was able to achieve everything I was hoping for.

My issue was the windows firewall... I had to shut down the firewall and restart them and it works fine.  I am able to forward the port to 8867 as I wanted...  I learned that unlike 4.2.5 you can't just type in the ip/8867 but instead have to ip/8867/index.html. It brings me to the login everytime...

I can post a summary of what I do now if you would like me too!!

Thanks for everyones help even though I got pretty discouraged and frustrated throughout the whole process!!!

I wonder if in post #7 if I had typed "firewall or" if it would made a difference? Also in your other thread when I showed you these steps https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid528917 did you run installservice.bat in step #9? That should have opened the Windows firewall.

In any case it was good we determined that NextPVR v5 should change the setting.list API to tell older devices it doesn't support timeshift

Ok, I've changed this for the next build.

I was going to mention the windows firewall but looks like you figured it out.

"It was the local Win10 firewall. I have never seen the auto-created rule work on the exe. Usually have to add a inbound port rule. So added TCP port 8866 and now iOS phone app connects"

ok found an issue, the install doesn't recognize if a device tuner is being used or not, thus it won't switch to the second priority tuner in the list, thus I can only watch one channel on one location at a time.   In the settings page on the web app, when I click on device status it states none are being used.

You need to clarify location, I can run many instances of live tv on many clients on my local LAN at one time providing logs helps clarify the problem. Definitely running in two tabs would not be possible but you can do it in two browsers if you must.

If you mean recognizing if a tuner is being used by v4 or another that is correct and not really a defect.

There was a bug in the current release that could stop the status being shown for some tuners. Fixed for next build.

For each web session, it only has one active stream. If you want to see two streams in a browser, you can always open a second web session using an incognito/private browser window (or running a different browser like Edge/Firefox/Chrome)

My wife was watching cbs on one of my rpi's, I logged in via the 192.168 access, I was unable to watch any live tv via the web browser  as tuner was not available transcode failure. I then switch to my second rpi. It was not able to watch live tv as a tuner was not available. I have 4 tuners available via two hdhomerun duals. All 4 are setup in my settings device list. Status screen does not show any tuners active when my wife was watching, thus it is not recognizing what tuner is doing what.

There is an issue if you add tuners without a server restart. Otherwise logs are needed or we can't help you.
