Using R5000-HD with Network Recorder Plugin

Of course, could you try

openname=C:/mnt/R5000_Recordings/$2.ts

But the test isn't needed anymore.

OK I changed the entry in the script to "openname=C:/mnt/R5000_Recordings/$2.ts"

Tried the /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.sh VERSION command and got same error.

What test isn't needed anymore?

That early test was bad syntax but it confirmed that the connection was working and what is need now is different I hoped the last line would work I want to see now is the output from

/var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.sh 190 R5ooo-HD | ffmpeg -i pipe: -f mpegts -y /dev/null

So I ran that command with nextnname set as below, and i tried twice with openname with the slashes going both ways (changed the comments).  Got the same results both ways:

Do you see a START command on the server it responded OK. The command line looks like I'd expect.

Ah, I see.  So on the R5000 box, the NextCom app does show it is recording (still is), to the C::/mnt/R5000_Recordings/R5oooo-HD.ts file.  However on the share, the file is there but it stays at zero length.

It responded to the STOP so I am surprised it is running.

I suggest adding a

sleep 5

before the GET_SIZE line in opendct.sh

then we can see if it is growing, we may have moved on too fast. That is the file size as known to the server.

OK, looking better.  It is recording to the share and file continues to grow.

That is possible the script already has the pipe open by another instance of ffmpeg but there is no UI.

when you created the script file did you include the - on the end of the ffmpeg line?
