I've tried configuring the web services (I changed to port 80) but I have not been able to get a browser to connect. I get a connect to the server, but the web server has a problem connecting to the \gbpvr directory.

Am I doing something wrong?

hi sub, http://p4:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx works fine, however it should be possible to use IIS instead of cassini. when i try to access it i get an errorpage saying NativeUtilities can't be loaded. for detailed dotnet error description please checkout http://llandaff.dyndns.org/configuratiefout.htm

Is NativeUtilities.dll in c:\program file\devnz\gbpvr\web\bin? It should be.

In the past I've been able to get it to work with IIS. You need to create a web app and point it at c:\program file\devnz\gbpvr\web\. You also need to set the file permissions on the directory to allow the aspnet user account to create/update files. This is because it needs to be able to change the GBPVR.mdb database (where scheduled recordings are stored), and it also needs to be able to create a GBPVR.ldb database locking file.

I am running into the problem that my shows I am setting to record via the web are not being recorded. Do I need access installed on the machine to be able to open that .mdb file and make the appropriate changes?

Are you running the web server built in to GB-PVR, or are you trying to use another server like IIS?

I am having the same problem Roald with regard to the NativeUtilities. I have verified that the ASP.Net account has full access to the entire gbpvr directory structure and that the NativeUtilities.dll file is in the web\bin directory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Todd.
