I will try and do a repeat of the Kodi one with the debug log tomorrow. However I assumed it is not a problem with the New Client running on Kodi because Nlite seems to behave the same and also disconnects.

I don't think it's knewc issue either if you prefer to capture the nlite output it might show something. I am pretty sure we were see something in Kodi.

I sent the Nlite output to a file but there is no time info include. I wasnt there at the time live TV stopped but the file was over 300K after about 10 mins. I tried searching for anything that was out of the normal pattern but found nothing!

Will try to do a Kodi debug tomorrow.

After much more testing a pattern is beginning to emerge!!

Boot or reboot the server and start live TV on a client and playback stops after about 8 minutes.
Restart client and start live TV and it now does NOT stop after about 8 minutes.
Stopping and restarting NextPVRServer.exe then watching live TV which does NOT stop after 8 minutes.
Not 100% certain but it does not seem to be client specific so if live TV stops on one client you then seem to be able to run live TV on any client and it wont stop!

I'm also seeing regular failures of live TV stream viewing, every 5-10 minutes. Stream stops and displays the TV Guide. An immediate restart works.

Log files attached.

Paul

PS. First attempt to create logs after "right-click/settings" resulted in error message "Unable to create zip of log files. Could not find a part of the path "C:\Program Files\NPVR\data\logs". After I added new folder "logs" this still failed. Creating log files via browser created zip file in downloads folder.

The v5 method of zipping the logs is to use the web server and it looks like sub hasn't updated the same functionality in NextPVR to use a writable folder. Ading the logs folder would have still result in UAC issues.

For the stop, it looks like a recording started while you are watching live tv and you don't have all your channels configured on the multiple tuners.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Regarding the stop. Last night I watched TV for about two hours. During this time there weren't any scheduled recordings. Also the stop was actually more like ten stops over the two hour period. I re-tested this morning with the same results. There's no recording going on.

The twin DVB-T tuner was configured as a scan on tuner #1 and a config copy to tuner #2.

I examined the channel lists and this is complete for both tuners. So the channel lists look OK.

Doesn't this suggest that something else is going on?

Unfortunately sub's logging for tuner selection is missing important data but I do see many enabled tuners being skipped over before one is selected.

2019-12-17 19:48:03.272 [DEBUG][33] live tv is possible

Also I only see one device log being used for one tuner.

I may have only seen one stop that might have been like that where there could be an issue is when this is logged

2019-12-18 21:41:48.024 [DEBUG][1] GetEventCode() returned: 0x0001

Do things improve if you use the LAV Decoder for HEAAC?

I am already using the LAV Decoder for HE-AAC.

I failed to mention that I had been using the tuners and IPTV stream happily with V4 so these should work similarly well for V5.

Would it help if I rescan the DVB-T channels and provide the logs immediately after this?
