Hi,

I have USB DVB-T dongle with Realtek 2832U chip. The system is running on Windows 10. I'm using driver version 64.1.730.2015.
I've followed those instructions how to start NextPRV v5 and it seems to work, except there is no sound when watching live TV.
I have sound with v4. I've tried all Audio Render options available, but with no luck. What I'm missing?

Thanks.

Where are you watching it? Is this in nextpvr.exe, the windows client? If so, you'll need to zip and attach the logs.

I am pretty sure that I have read the BDA drivers for the SDR DVT-T devices don't work so linux is required for them.

Yes, the build in windows client - nextpvr.exe. Which logs do you need and how to get them? Sorry if this is too lame question.

In the web app on the Settings->About page, there is a 'Log Files' button. It'll zip the log files up for you. You can then post that zip file.

The problem will most likely come down to the decoders you have selected in NextPVR.exe's Settings screen

OK, thanks. Problem was in selected MPEG1 Audio decoder indeed. I set it to "MPEG Audio Decoder" and the sound turned on. I feel so stupid for not seeing this is "Disabled" by default.

However, now if I open the settings during Live TV play, the player crashes with error "The tuner you were using was required for recording..."
Logs attached.

How quickly did the screen come up? I've seen a couple of users in the past that something screwy in the directshow decoders on their machine, which made it really slow to query the available decoders...leading to it the live tv tuner lease expiring and the "The tuner you were using was required for recording..." message. I'm guessing your problem is something like this.

The solution is to either find what's wrong with the directshow decoders, or just ignore it - after all, you don't really need to go into the NextPVR.exe settings screen very often. I'd probably go with the latter if I was you.

Some BDA devices devices have a tuner filter + a capture filter. Some have just a tuner filter (no capture filter). This is all that is being reported here.
