im a complete newbie to this software, I know others that have it installed and when i install on windows 10 pc I am missing items to be able to set it up, I can install v4 and it works, but when 5 is installed it looks like this under settings and when i select log i get this. please see attachements
Just push ctrl-f5 to force a refresh. You should then get the login page. Type in the username/password, and tick the remember me checkbox, then login.
The original problem you described above was because your browser was using cached copies of the page, rather than asking nextpvr for the page (so that it had a chance to show you the login page). After managing to login, with 'remember me' checked, you wont have that problem again.

no it's not working, if i try a different browser it won't let me login, the page i've shown looks the same when i go to settings. with a different browser i use admin and 0000 and if fails the login

It looks like it's failed to delete the NextPVR directory because something is using the directory. Maybe you've got it open in Explorer, or a command prompt. I'll try to add some protection against this.
