Where is the documentation? I know about the ridiculous thread on the SageTV forum and when I check recent logs other users are using the socket service.

The default on github is definitely true https://github.com/enternoescape/opendct...efault#L26

Martin:

Do you support the 64-bit version of OpenDCT or only the 32-bit version? I just realized that I had installed the 64-bit version since I am running 64-bit Windows and NextPVR.

FYI. I have never seen ANYTHING output from any of the Python scripts. I just get tossed back to the command line prompt for the directory I am in when I ran the scripts.

It is on the ridiculous thread near the beginning, last edited in 2017.

I am running with OpenDCT_0.5.29_x64.msi on Windows and also tested the linux version using an HDHR. I only called the bat file win32 because it isn't only 64 bit.

In the release notes for 5.27 I found this "The media server (upload ID) is now enabled by default." so there most be a way for sagetv to use this too.

Perhaps you were using my jar file with SageTV?

Yes, once I changed to your jar file I just left it and used it with sage. I am still using sage until I transition the family to NPVR. I am looking through the sage thread now to see if it can work when set to true. I will keep you posted with what I find.
Thanks for being patient.

In that case it might be easier for you to keep sagetv as is and just modify the properties file, since my jar change won't even be used by opendct with SageTV

Modify which properties file? Sage, Opendct  or NPVR?

opendct.properties so that you can run either/or by toggling the upload_id setting There will be no way for you you to run SageTV and NextPVR with the Cetons together anyway.

Okay thanks.

I had been running it duel for the past several years. I had two tuners in media center and four tuners in sage. Used both due to premium channels on media center only. No longer have any premium channels so media center no longer needed. just thought it might work that way as i transition from sage to NPVR.
