I switched over to using V5 last weekend and the only major problem was the XML EPG file was not where the software expected it so ended up with no EPG a week later!

One of my satellite channels has disappeared and has moved to a different transponder. I select the tuner then select Scan Channels, on the left I select Manual Scan and below I select the satellite location all as in V4 but no list of transponder to select from. Is there some special key combination to make it appear as there seems to be with a few functions?

There is only manual scan for DVB-T, not DVB-S. You'll need to scan the satellite again, or add a tuning file for that specific frequency.

I'll add some sort of DVB-S manual scan in the future.

Thanks Sub. I had a feeling there was no Manual Scan at all when I tried some months ago. I will create a single frequency ini file as we get regular moves of minor channels. I will also see if its possible to edit the database entry instead.

Created single frequency 28.2.ini entry, scanned with DVB-S2 (1) which found several channels including wanted one. Deleted unwanted channels and clicked Save. Repeated on tuner DVB-S2 (2) and clicked Save. I then go to Channels and select Auto Merge. However when I look at the 4 tuners each has a mix of mainly DVB-S frequencies with a few DVB-T frequencies. However Live TV does seem the work on all the main channels I regularly watch except the one I just added.

I looked in the database for the problem channel and as expected there are 4 entries for that channel in the Channel_Mapping table 2 x DVB-T and 2X DVB-S and the entries seem normal.

After a while I found the original problem was caused by the DVB-T channel moving to a different MUX and changing its name slightly. As I cannot delete the channel from each tuner I had to delete a all 4 together from the Channels screen. Scanning the mux found the missing channel which was added and repeated for the other tuner so now have the channel working on two DVB-T tuners. I scanned with a DVB-S tuner again and by changing the name slightly got it to merge with the DVB-T channels. The confusing thing is looking at the channel list for that tuner the DVB-S channel I just added lists the frequency as 498MHZ instead of 12207MHZ. I dont think there was a problem with the DVB-S channel but a duplicate channel appeared on on a different transponder around when the problem started so assumed the channel had moved.

This feature where the incorrect frequency is listed for a channel on a tuner does not seem to cause a problem in normal use until changes need such as a channel change.

Usually the way I'd handle this scenario (wanting to update channels on a multi tuner setup) is delete the channels from all button one tuner, then scan the one tuner to get the list the way you want it, then click on the other tuners to set them up, and accept the offer to copy channels from the existing tuner of the same type.

I don't really follow you. You might have to try describing this again with screenshots. (I'm sure I have an un-diagnosed dyslexia Big Grin)

Enclosed is screen image of DVB-T tuner after doing auto merge. The DVB-S  tuner is mostly correct with just the odd DVB-T frequency. As I said it does seem to function correctly and the database seems correct.
