set mac address in nextpvr addon

My bottom line is I want logs with every post and I shouldn't have to explain why. Yesterday when you posted about channel switching I didn't reply to your initial post because you didn't include logs and the only reason I decided to ask today was because I am investigating the WOL issue and I want to know what to log for.

Thanks that confirms that it is the issue I thought sub hadn't added that support to V5 yet and until yesterday we weren't sure if it would be possible on linux. I wanted to see how it was logged, I am using Matrix so my logging is different. I do expect this to be resolved in the next NextPVR release and I won't have to update the addon at all

Interestingly you probably noticed the problem before I did when you mentioned you had to edit the file to enter the MAC. If you had provided this information when you noticed it (with logs) we would have been on our way earlier.

For the FTV you should consider Matrix if you have any playback issues.

PS here here is the information I look for that no one provides that I need to answer questions before I even look at a problem. It is much easier to just provide the pastebin url then to gather it up.

Now to answer your question I'd wait for the next update but I know with Android I can use X-Plore to browse to the .kodi folder and edit settings.xml. You probably could sideload that and do the same if the FTV allows it.

Alternatively you could use adblink.

Just for the record, the old forum software used to also require the same two clicks, but the buttons were right next to each other in the old software, so it was less frequent that the user would forget to click the second button.

1. first one to browse and select the file (labelled 'Choose Files' in the new forum software, and 'Browse' in the old forum software)
2. second one to actually upload the file. (labelled 'Add Attachment' in the new forum software, and 'upload file' in the old forum software)
