V5 install failure

I started to experience strange behaviour with my V5 installation of 5.0.2 on Win10 where the client would play TV but the options to record had disappeared. To try and fix this I tried an uninstall and re-install. When I execute NPVRSetup.exe the file install stage fails with the attached error message displayed. This is quite unlike anything I've seen. I have applied SFC and DISM repairs and both report clean.

So I am unable to proceed with the install. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening?

Possibly the server was down when you tried to install. Is it working now?

I get this too when I try to install. Deleted all traces of previous "test" install but still get same error message. The install creates the "program files\NextPVR" folder but nothing else its just empty

Same here although I can get the installer to run on a 'clean' PC (never had NextPVR of any version installed) but with a PC with V4 installed/running and an old version of V5 deleted some time ago it will not.

It is immediately failing for me too so this is something for sub.

I think it is failing on tls handshaking, only tls 1.2 seems to be supported on the server.

Also tried to remove all entries/keys relating to "Npvr" and "nextpvr" from the registry to see if that would help but that didnt fix it either :-(

If you download https://nextpvr.com/stable/win64/NPVR.zip and unzip it into "C:\Program Files\NextPVR" as admin the installer will give the zip error but continue to do the install.
