Device Afatech stop working after few mins

Hi all,

I just discovered NextPVR and I'm impressed but unfortunately I can't make it work properly with my DVB-T device.

I have an Ubuntu Box 18.04.4 and the following usb dongle :

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 048d:9006 Integrated Technology Express, Inc. IT9135 BDA Afatech DVB-T HDTV Dongle

Install went smoothly and I cand find all channels I need, however everything  stop working after a couple of mins which make it unusable.

I can see live channels from dvb-t  but after switching 4-5 channels the device get stuck with either :

- Starting Device wait
- Receiving data

Same thing happens with web browser or Kodi plugin, no matter the channel.
If I restart the computer everything works fine for another five minutes :-)

I tried also the docker version but I have exactly the same behavior.

Not sure if it's some compatibility issue with my usb dongle or something else.
Before Nextpvr I had no problem with mythtv or dvblink.

Is there anything I can do to make it work?
Logs are not very useful.

The logs is the best way to diagnose problems ...

What happens if you record a 30 minute show?

Yes is is not clear if the issue is time or channel switching which is why we need logs.

After switching channels a couple of times that's what I get on the logs.
Starting Devices on every channel.
The only things that works is a reboot or restart the service (sometimes).

Log snippets are no good we need the zipped logs. Those usb errors don't look good though it seems that it is not working before that snippet.

Just to let you know I updated to ubuntu 20.04.

Same behavior,  works for a few mins then stuck on Starting Device or Receiving Data.

So it was tuning fine but it failed on one channel

Does that match a time that dmesg gives you a USB error?
