Hi,

So don't laugh, but I've been using 3.4.8 on my main machine for the last 5 years and its been rock solid, but I decided to do an overhaul and upgrade to 4.2.5.  It's great, working very well.

I really like the new "modern" web interface on Desktop, it's really very slick and works well.  But I miss is the 'iNEWA Mobile' web interface.  It worked extremely well to set recordings when I was out and about, it was really easy to navigate.  Is there any way to restore this, or is there an alternative way of doing this now?

Thanks! Smile

I don't know what the iNEWA Mobile web interface was, but it was probably still there in v4.2.5. You could try changing your url to http://<ipaddress>:8866/Guide2.aspx

NextPVR v5 has a much improved web experience.

Oh my goodness!!  Yup, there it is!!

I guess under the old NEWA it automatically redirected to /mobile/ on phones, and I didn't even think to check!!  Drat.  I'll bookmark it!

Thank you Martin & sub, this is extremely useful!  Smile  Big Grin

Is UncleJohnsBand still developing the NEWA interface or is the web interface now part of sub's core application?

I'm going to set up another machine, the one Intel took 18 months to fix the video driver bug, with V5.  V4.2.5 is proving rock solid on the old machine.  I'll get up to date eventually! Big Grin

Unfortunately no, he was getting too busy with other stuff. I did try to get him involved with the new web UI stuff.

NEWA is no longer included with NextPVR. It's been replaced with a newer, more modern web interface. Behind the scenes most of the technology in NextPVR changed with the introduction on v5, and NEWA wasn't able to run without serious updates

Ah, I thought that might be the case. I really like the new modern interface, when I fired it up on my desktop I was really impressed, it's a very nice design and everything just works! Literally the only thing I missed was the "big button" interface iNEWA offered for setting recordings on mobile.

I think iNEWA might be lighter on data, as it only loads the EPG for the channel you select. This is useful on poor mobile connections. I've managed to schedule recordings on GPRS before!!
