I've edited my config file so that Skip Forward is 60s.  This change only appears to work when using the mouse and clicking the skip.  My harmony remote is programmed as WMC.  When using it, the skip only goes forward 10s no matter what the value is in config file.  Same applies to Skip Back.  Works fine in v4.  Using windows client.

Are you using the "correct" Skip button?  NextPVR uses the "Skip Forward" and the "Fast Forward" buttons and each skips a different period forwards ... https://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php...dReference

You might have the "other" button mapped in the Harmony software.  My Harmony Companion remote (used with a Harmony Hub) has only one skip forward button and I have to map the "other" skip button to "Channel Up" (I almost never watch Live TV).

I haven't looked at the mapping in years on the remote, don't even have the harmony software on current computer. Have v4 running on same machine and it works as expected so figured the mappings are correct.

There are changes in config.xml to reverse skip and seek perhaps you don't have the same change in v5.  I know this was an issue with UI client in the beginning?

This is the area of config file I changed.  Is there some other place as well?

<Playback>
    <VolumeControl>internal</VolumeControl>
    <VolumeLevel>100</VolumeLevel>
    <VolumeMuted>false</VolumeMuted>
    <SkipForwardSeconds>60</SkipForwardSeconds>
    <SkipBackSeconds>10</SkipBackSeconds>
    <SkipFFSeconds>10</SkipFFSeconds>
    <SkipRWSeconds>10</SkipRWSeconds>
    <FFRWBehaviour>Fast Play</FFRWBehaviour>
    <LeftRightBehaviour>Short Skip</LeftRightBehaviour>
    <FastPlayStepSize>1.2</FastPlayStepSize>
    <FastPlayStepFrequencyMS>100</FastPlayStepFrequencyMS>
    <PrePlayDelay>500</PrePlayDelay>
    <DVDDrive>AUTO</DVDDrive>
    <DaemonToolsExe>C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe</DaemonToolsExe>
    <DaemonToolsDrive>I:\</DaemonToolsDrive>
    <DaemonToolsDelay>3500</DaemonToolsDelay>
    <ActiveSubtitle>Disabled</ActiveSubtitle>
  </Playback>

Are you skipping with the arrows or skip? Your arrows are doing short skip which are on FF and RW

If memory serves I programmed the skip into the d-pad of the remote. Remote is ancient and lost function of the arrow buttons to over use a while ago. Same remote works properly if I watch recording in v4 with the above changes to config file.

Also noticed something strange when watching a recording in v5 last night. The first press of the skip forward button on remote would cause the playback to skip backwards a couple seconds. Then all skip forward presses would work properly but only go the 10s.

If the dbad is left and right then you should be getting +/- 10 if you want long skip you need

<LeftRightBehaviour>Long Skip</LeftRightBehaviour>
