I want to ditch WMC but I've grown very accustomed to how it works and looks.  I set my EPG data to download 21 days at a time so I can look ahead at what I want to record so I don't have to think about it every day.  I also like that I can click on a channel and scroll through just the shows on that channel 21 days out.

I like NextPVR and I want to use it in EMBY so is there a way to download more than 24 hours of EPG data to the guide and then view ahead like in WMC?

There are lots of things I like about NextPVR, especially that it records Transport Stream format which means I can directly edit the files before I compress them but if I can't schedule recordings for movies more than 24 hours out it has limited use for me .

Thanks

Many of us are using Schedules Direct to get two or three weeks of EPG data.

That's awesome, can you explain how I set that up and then view ahead in NextPVR?  The desktop app won't even let me look at more than the current two hours so being new to this software I have no idea how to use it.

Sounds like you still have something configured incorrectly. Do an EPG upate from the setting about page and send your zipped logs you get from the same page. It is perhaps a confusing page name for those options.

In the desktop app, you just use the right arrow to move the guide later or ctrl-right arrow to move to the next day.

In the web app Guide, you click the upper left where it defaults to "Today" and select the day that you want to view.

Thank you, you can chalk this one up to a newbie lack of understanding how the software works.

I still only have two weeks of guide data and would like three, how do I change this setting?

Is there anyway to just scroll into the next day on the web app without having to manually choose the day.  I like the ability to jump to a day ahead but I would also like to be able to just scroll into it while in the guide without selecting the next day.

Not in the web app yet but the Kodi, NextPVR Windows, Emby and Jellyfin clients allow this so I suspect it is one sub's to do list. I thought you posted about only 2 hours of data, I guess you were looking at 10pm

You can change config.xml to get more days there are setting for the overnight and manual period they are different.
