Hey sub,

I remember you helped fix this before--seems to have crept up again in 5.0.6. A certain provider supplies mpegts streams that NextPVR is passing through ffmpeg even though there's no reason to--leading to ffmpeg pegging the CPU and choppy playback.

Logs attached, happy to give you credentials or remote access via vnc to the box if that helps.

Let me know if this updated NShared.dll helps.

I am not sure how sub fixed this since there absolutely is a reason that should be transcoded

2020-07-05 13:12:22.837 [DEBUG][4] content-type: video/m2ts

That should have 192 bytes headers and different format then a typical transport stream.

My guess is that it's incorrectly reporting the mime type (which we've seen before). That updated NShared.dll is just treating it as a regular transport stream, and we'll wait for feedback if it works or not.

Hello,

I hope I'm not being too stupid. 25 years EDV and I write the first time in a forum.
I have the 5.0.7 installed on my Pi4. It runs with a recording in HD also on 100% (2GHZ).
I have changed the DLL in /opt/var/system and restarted.
Unfortunately the gui is now broken and after a few clicks the gui is no longer accessible.
Do I have to do more than replace the file?

You should do less than replace the file ... Smile ... Each NextPVR version includes all of the fixes made before the version is released ... The current version is 26 July ... https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61315 ... and includes all fixes from before 26 July.

If you still have a problem then ... https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help

Yes the process for an upgrade to the new 5.0.7 version on linux is  to use step #2 here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid523891
