Can Device Amplification Be Controlled? - what I mean by this question is: I have an issue with signal strength, it looks like. I have upgraded the splitter to a new one, and it has noticeably improved the signal strength. I tried a 12db amplifier, but it didn't help. On the HD channels and some of the SD higher numbered channels, the video pauses at times. Also, sometimes if I click on the "watch now" button, no video will be displayed and the tuner gets turned off, but only on the higher numbered stations 51.1-67.3 (I'm assuming these are the higher freqs).
So, I've had this issue ever since I started running v.5. I never had this issue when using v.4 which I had used for at least 2 years. So, I am wondering if there is something in a config file that sets up the tuners that is somehow reducing the tuner's ability to tune into the channel frequency, or has somehow reduced the signal strength received. Does such a thing exist in nvpr v.5? I'm wondering if I should go back to v.4 to see if I get the same issue.
Does anyone have an idea about how the tuners are controlled and set up in nvpr v.5? Can reception by the tuners be controlled somehow? I'm using Kworld ATSC UB435-Q (2x), and the same driver version I was using earlier.
