Unfortunately there isn't a log message in the specific branch of code that checks for missing recordings, so it's not visible in the logs.

The KNEWC showing NextPVR UI screens will trigger it. It'll only run this logic if either <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> or <CheckForRenamedRecordings> are set to 'true' in config.xml.

Thanks for that info. Both those items are set to TRUE in my config.xml.  I checked, and Docker seems to know the files are gone, but nothing short of a restart of the container will trigger any cleanup for me at this point. This is on my "annoying but not critical" list BTW.

Is the list in UI client showing the shortened list? I am thinking the web app might use a cache. Also do you only delete in web app and Kodi?

The UI client and the web app show the same list. I actually rarely if ever delete a recording from the web app or the client UI. I have a library integration script that gets all my recordings into my Kodi library (I despise the PVR interface), and when we're done with an episode we delete the video file. I don't know if it matters, but I don't think I expressly delete the XML file NPVR generates. In the past (both NPVR4 and older versions of NPVR5) if I deleted the file within a day or so the NPVR recording list would clean up. At some point in the last month or so (I don't know exactly when), the clean up stopped happening.
