I am running Jellyfin 10.6.4 and NextPVR 5.0.8. I installed NextPVR plugin in Jellyfin thourgh dashboard>Plugin. Didn't work. My jellyfin installation has no plugin folders anywhere. But I read here to create folders manually and copy the files from the zip file. Could you please elaborate where do I need to create folders in Windows?

Check your logs for this line

[2020-07-27 14:10:22.015 -04:00] [INF] [1] Main: Program data path:    path

and in that path create plugins\NextPvr and put the files there.

If that is too complicated install the v4 plugin from their store or whatever they use and replace with the contents of the zip file.

I am beginning to suspect that this addon is going to die though because of lack of support from jellyfin.  I suggest any NextPVR who wants it post on the jellyfin forum in support of it.

Someone mentioned in the Jellyfin forum that the Emby for Roku app works with Jellyfin.  So I tried connecting to my Jellyfin server using the v5 NextPVR plugin and the Emby for Roku app and it does work! Live TV and everything!

Ok looking at the config page it seems I distributed a file that included some git rebase code so setting didn't work.  Does this work?  This is what I submitted so I hope so.

hey this works like charm, thanks. one problem, creating a new recording from jellyfin GUI when watching or from guide does not work for me. any hints? thanks.

You have to make sure the guide synch in jellyfin happens after the EPG update in NextPVR. Typically if you have an EPG update at 2:44 you schedule the jellyfin update for 3:00 or later depending how long an EPG update takes.

no, it doesn't work, I had it originally set as "daily" by jellyfin as the default; I then changed it to 3am which is after nextpvr's 2:44am; I also tried manually run jellyfin guide update. when I was watching a channel and then click record button in jellyfin, there is just a spinning circle changing colors but nothing happened.

Create a new post with your NextPVR logs and the zipped jellyfin server log and I will happy to have a look.

Hi Martin, I see this same behavior when clicking the record button from the browser while watching live TV. Sorry, I didn't have time this morning to capture logs but I will this evening.

I noticed in the NextPVR web client there is no button for record while watching live TV, so I wonder if that may have something to do with it?

Ok the backend is capable since Kodi can do this. That could also be a different problem then recording from the guide though so maybe test both scenarios in another thread.

Running Jellyfin 10.6.4 and NPVR 5.0.8 (200823) I tried installing the NPVR v4 plugin then putting your files in the NPVR plugin directory but after loading up jellyfin just shuts down would very much like to get NPVR working in it so that everything is in one place media and live. would appreciate any help you can give me on this.
