Yes that was good so it looks like a python install error.

I am not sure what I did or didn't do _ I installed python from MS store - how ever MS choses to install it is beyond my understanding.

Also, trying to run the windows client - all I get is a blank screen, web client works fine except for the live streaming part.

Like I posted earlier ignore the windows client until the next release. If it can't stream it isn't working.

Maybe uninstall the windows store version of python and install from this source

https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.9.1/...-amd64.exe

There is an option right at the beginning to install for all users which is ticked. This is a brand new version that I haven't used but it should be ok, you may need to run

pip install requests lxml m3u8 again

Martin,

ok, uninstalled python 3.7 from MS
installed 3.9.1 from link you provided
reinstalled pip requests lxml
re-ran the locast.py script
deleted existing channels and re-scanned.
stopped/restarted npvr service
tried to play 5 random channels from scan list
1st channel, failed, 2nd channel played, chs 3-5 failed, then back to ch 2 - it failed
same as before

Did you also install m3u8 with pip?

The successful play is only because it was playing Cozi TV from your HDHR.

I tried to install m3u8 with pip, this is the message I received:

C:\Users\darry>pip install m3u8
Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable
Requirement already satisfied: m3u8 in c:\users\darry\appdata\roaming\python\python39\site-packages (0.7.1)
Requirement already satisfied: iso8601 in c:\users\darry\appdata\roaming\python\python39\site-packages (from m3u8) (0.1.13)

Is this a problem?
