EPG XMLTV problem

Hello!

I've been using NextPVR for a couple of years now (on a Windows 10 Home x64 machine), with no problems, but as of Saturday night I cannot get NPVR to access the epg.xml file.  I have tried the following:

Delete the epg.xml file and manually update (successfully)
Reinstall NPVR
Reboot


The live tv channels work properly, but no epg information is available no matter what I do.  The most recent changes to the computer (Friday) are a new USB camera, and installation of Zoom.  I have unplugged the camera (wanted to remove it from the device manager, but cannot find it) and uninstalled Zoom.

Any help you would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty certain the cause will be either:

1) your xmltv file only contains old listings
2) or the IDs have changed in your xmltv file.

If you are using zap2xml or zap2epg there were reported problems this week if you search this forum.

If you want to zip and attach the xmltv file, I can check if it has current listings in it.

Dave - I had the same problem with my EPG. I found that the last Windows update applied Read Only security to my NPVR folder under C:\Program Files (x86). You'll need to right click on NPVR folder, Properties, Security, Edit, then give full control to each application package and apply. When you manually run Update EPG, it will bring in the lineup.

Thanks everyone for your help - I've fixed the issue.

Enable permissions for NPVR folder (thanks abelps for the great information!)
Change properties of the zap2it executable to run as administrator
Erase epg file
Erase all files in scripts/cache (these will be rewritten in the next epg update - takes some time!)
Delete channels in NPVR
Rescan devices
Make sure channels are using xtml for epg and are mapped correctly
Update EPG
