Blu-ray Disc via Samsung TV

This is my preferred (and only) method of listening to my extensive CD collection.
I have not yet found a way to record to a USB or Laptop while the music plays.
Does NextPVR have this functionality?  Or does it only record normal TV?

Can the TV play a music file from a usb disc or usb stick that is plugged into the TV?

Are you able to rip/copy the music to a usb stick using a computer?

I have a USB Stick with music which is plugged into the Samsung TV ... not sure how to activate the music
I have an HDMI cable fromLaser the laptop to the TV which allows me to play music files on the lap top via (1) TV (2) Lap Top (3) Lap Top earphones'
I have a Laser Blu Ray CD/DVD player with HDMI cable allowing the playing but it appears NOT the recording of individual CDs
A recommendation of the best hardware to make CD /DVD backup recordings for personal use via TV would be helpful

I expect that the laptop has a CD player built in.  I use dbpoweramp software to copy music from cd discs to music files on my computer.
