I'm trying to use NextPVR on the Apple TV with an infrared remote, and seem to be running into a couple of problems:
1. During playback, pressing the "select" button brings up the time bar on the bottom (and pauses playback), the same as a click on the trackpad on the stock Apple TV remote (the so-called "Siri remote"). However, with the IR remote, there does not seem to be any ability to move forward or backward in time - left and right button presses have no affect.
2. This one is less serious. Pressing "select" a second time restarts playback - again, same as a trackpad click on the Siri remote. However, the trackpad click also makes the time bar disappear, whereas the "select" press on the IR remote leaves the time bar visible. So apparently a trackpad click (Siri remote) and a "select" (IR remote) aren't quite equivalent.
Also, I have a feature request that would probably apply to either type of remote (but might not be possible on the Siri remote - not sure). Would it be possible to add some method of moving forward or backward by some fixed interval (perhaps 15 or 30 seconds, for example)? Or is there already some way to do that?
