I am having an issue with windows version of NextPVR.

I have 2 DVB Cards.
TBS 6984 for DVB S/S2
TBS 6209 for DVB T/T2/C

I do not want to use the DVB epg in NextPVR because the scan takes forever and goes through all 52 Freesat transponders.
When I deselect them and reduce the scan time per frequency to 30 seconds, it will not save and continues to scan all 0963 freesat frequencies for 60 seconds.
Here is all the frequencies NextPVR wants to scan. (I cannot upload screenshot)
Code:
Seconds per freq:60

    Freq:12382/H/27500 SID:2908
    Freq:12441/V/29500 SID:7400

As you can see above, I only want to scan the top 2 DVB-T frequencies, but when i click save, the dialogue box remains and I have to x out of it.
Once i do manual scan, all is reverted to 60 seconds and all frequencies are scanned.

I intend to generate the DVB xml file from other software through linux and add the file rather than scan the stream.

Is there a way to permanently disable these frequencies from the EPG scan or better still, fix the option box to allow saving the required frequencies?

Great project and keep up the good work.

There is a bug in that release which does not allow those frequency selections to be saved. It's fixed for the next build, which should be available in the next few days.

Here in NZ I get channels on four frequencies. I've unticked three, and get listings for all my channels in 60 seconds.

If you are actually using Freesat channels on 28.2E why dont you use the Freesat EPG on 11428 H? NextPVR has a Freesat EPG mode but I have never used it! I have used EPGCollector to produce a XML EPG file to import into NextPVR since before it had the Freesat EPG feature!
NextPVR Server - HP N54L Microserver, Windows 10 - Storage 2 X 3TB - Tuners DVBSky S952 Twin DVB-S/S2 PCIe, Hauppauge Twin DVB-T2 USB, Telestar Digibit R1 Sat>IP Server.
Clients:- 2 X RPi3, 1 X RPi4 and Acer RL80 Celeron Nettop all running NextPVR New Client on LibreElec.

Freesat EPG mode was also problematic, it scanned every frequency in transponder list even though it only required 11428/H.
Im playing with EPGCollector at the minute, but i cant get more than a few hours schedule.  Its very strange because the capture file is 45Mb, that should be the full 5-7 day EPG..
Are there any modifications you have to make to your EPGCollector output file before you import it into NextPVR?

That sounds like you had it set to DVB EPG rather than Freesat EPG. The latter only looks at 11428, and skips all the other frequencies. (the default after scanning will be DVB EPG, and you need to use Channels->AdvancedTools->AutoMap to change it to Freesat EPG)

I have just checked and my EPG Collector Freesat xml file is around 7.5Meg. However I do "exclude" a lot of the ITV and BBC unwanted regional variations and other unwanted channels. The only other thing I do is exclude the word "New:" in front of a title which some channels like to use before the title which means NextPVR wont recognise the programme!

I have never used the built in Freesat but it seems strange if it scans all transponders. The Freesat transponder is actually 11425 MHz on Astra 2E after Eurobird lost the right to be at 28.2E several years ago.

Have you looked at the EPGCollector log file after a scan? That will list any problems.
