Looks like the new version is released that has support for this. What would the option be from nScriptHelper to clean the database?

The documentation on NScriptHelper is scattered, incomplete and generally confusing so I understand the frustration. This community is really in need of more users willing to update the wiki.

It's not clear what sub means here with "Added system.remove.missing all, ..." but I think all is not needed (I haven't tested this) but knowing you use Linux I would try.

/opt/dotnet/dotnet /opt/nextpvr/system/NScriptHelper.dll -service method=system.remove.missing

Thanks! No frustration on my side. Just figured this would be the place to ask.

I will try you suggestion when I can. looks like the .deb file isn't updated yet, or possibly I am not doing the upgrade right (I will investigate further later when I have time). Either way, as soon as I get the system updated, I will give it a shot.

That simply sounds like another case of not reading far enough. The deb file doesn't get updated unless it has bugs, read point #2 about updates https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59576

Wasn't that I didn't read far enough...I was not even in that thread!!  I think I saw that thread before though, so I was just coming back to search for it when I saw your post.  In any case, it is upgraded now.  Thanks!

As far as if the command above works, I will still have to wait. Sometimes it seems that NextPVR removes the missing recordings, then other times it doesn't. Right now it is in a cycle where it is removing them when I delete the folders. I will have to wait until it stops doing it automatically.

You may not have wanted to, based on a a couple of threads about live tv cutting out, hopefully sub can find and fix that soon. Sub's Linux installl thread also points to that thread and clearly points to it for updates so you would have found it quickly enough.

If it's just live TV, it won't be a huge deal for me, since I very rarely watch anything live.  I will record something and see if it finishes.

I've recorded 2 hours 45 minutes of a 3 hour movie, and it appears fine for recording. I haven't watched it yet, but it's a single .ts file, so I'm betting it only affect live watching.

Note you don't have to use NScripthelper, I just used (thanks sub!) http://ip:8866/service?method=system.remove.missing and they were nicely cleaned up.
