Hi, wondered if someone could help. I've been using NPVR for quite a few months without issue, but for the last week or so any live TV transmissions stop after about 20 minutes. They seem to be ok if I happen to be recording the channel at the same time, which I found out by accident. I use NPVR via Kodi, but this is also happening for me via the web app.

I have Version: 5.1.2.210603 installed and logs attached.

Many thanks for any assistance

How is the signal quality? It seems very low

2021-06-06 08:57:41.260 [DEBUG][5] locked=0, present=0, strength=9, quality=44 (took 31ms to check)

Hi Martin, many thanks for your reply. I've not had any issues with signal at all on any channel. Would it not be strange to be signal when it happens every 20 mins at exactly the same time?

I just read on another thread, a post by yourself actually, about increasing the buffer size. I've now done this, so will give it a try - not had an issue before with this though. Bit confused why a 600 min buffer lasts 200 minutes? But it was 60 and it lasted 20, so the maths would be the same. I've increased to 900

That post was because of a problem with 0601 that sub has corrected. I just tested here with 60 minutes and there was no issue with the segment change at 20 minutes. It is suspicious but I couldn't duplicate it so you need sub's help.

The formula is minutes * 20 or technically (minutes * 60) / 3 or

Oh OK, so that's not going to help then. No worries, hopefully Sub might be able to help at some point - it would seem to be linked with the recent commits, given I've not had issues in the past and to my knowledge nothing else has changed.

There is no obvious sign of why that might be happening.

You're not running out of disk space on the drive containing the live tv buffer?

Thanks Sub. I don't think so, not the biggest drive but 68gb free at the moment. Just testing now for 20mins with the above buffer change and will check the disk size during.

If you set it to like 9 minutes, does it stop after 3?

Thanks Sub - I changed the buffer to 900 and we went past the previous 20 minute window without issue. Just changed to 9 mins and yes the picture froze at 3 minutes.

Out of interest, by having a larger buffer, does that compromise picture quality? When at 900 the picture did seem jerky. I've now changed it to 400 which should encompass most live tv watching.

No, it wont make any difference to picture quality - it just affects how big the buffer files are on disk.

What date/time is on your NShared.dll file?
