Thanks you very much.

I was experiencing the Streaming Failed - transcoder exited error message.  For reasons unknown, I stopped receiving this error.
  • NOW I'm unable to play live TV for more than a few minutes - 3 to 4 minutes (3:58 to be precise).  When the play back stops and, if I resume playing the same live channel feed, the play back just loops the same few minutes of video over-and-over.  I did change my live TV buffer to C:\Temp as suggested in the post above...unfortunately, that did not help.

I'm on a PC with a clean new installation of Windows10.  The only applications loaded are MS Edge, Firefox, NextPVR (Version: 5.1.3.210711), LAV and 7-Zip.  I have shared all pertinent NextPVR folders and granted them full access to "Everyone" - INCLUDING my C:\EPG\guide.xml; where my EPG is saved.
  • I can't get the EPG to populate the TV Guide.  I also cannot get the Auto Map feature to populate the channels with the EPG.  The only way I can get EPG data in the TV Guide is to manually add the EGP info via the spanner in the Channels settings.  I can see the EPG being retrieved, and updated, in the "About" screen but nothing changes in the TV Guide.  OH, the Channels that I add the EPG to, via the spanner, still exhibit the same playback characteristics as described above.

Your help in resolving these two issue: 1) No consistent Live TV playback; and 2) EPG does not populate TV Guide...would be greatly appreciated!  I have uninstalled and reinstalled NextPVR several times and also rebooted my PC multiple times.  None of this fixes the two issues.

Log files attached....Thank you for your help!
Do recordings work, or do they stop early too?
I'm trying to record a TV program now.  So, I'll let you know how that proceeds...

I still cannot play a TV program from the guide from start to finish.  It will only play the broadcast for a few minutes and then it stops.  And, as explained b4, it will only loop the same video over-and-over if I attempt to play it again from the Web app or client.  The only way to move on is to stop and start again from the TV guide...but, the problem still persists.

Attached are some screenshots.  It's difficult to see in the screenshots but the progress bar at the bottom runs backwards until it reaches what appears to be 20 minutes. Twenty minutes is the Live TV buffer time set in the settings menu.

Any ideas why NextPVR only plays live tv for a few minutes and then stops?  Thank you!

The recordings stop early too.  The attached file is a randomly selected broadcast I recorded from a channel I manually added the EPG to.  As you see it records the broadcast for bit then quits.

Also, when I playback the recording outside of NextPVR the video starts right away.  It also plays the video without the a brief pause that occurs when playing the video within NextPVR at around 5 to 6 seconds in...[attachment=undefined][attachment=undefined]

Could you upload the new logs with the recording. Also are you running a VPN or firewall that might be kicking in after the initial open?

Attached are the log files.

I am not running a VPN or firewall.  In fact, I disabled MS firewall as I thought that might be causing a problem(s).

I've tried playing other live tv broadcasts...but, I have the same problem with NextPVR only playing a short portion of the broadcast.

Thank you!

Based on the recording error being just like Live TV I don't think there is anything you can do to fix it and you need to wait for sub.

NextPVR should be able to download a gz file, but it could be another manifestation of this specific error with your provider.

Thanks for the reply....

FYI: I'm running this IPTV service provider on another application without issue...but, I can't record live tv on that other application.  The other application is in Kodi with Kodi's PVR IPTV simple plugin.

Thanks again...I'll wait on Sub. It does seem odd that NextPVR can "see" the EPG...but, it will only add EPG information if it's manually added in the Channels setting via the spanner...

The logs have quite a bit a of noise in them, making it hard to see what is happening. Can you restart NextPVR (to reset the logs), then just do a recording. Don't watch anything, then post the log zip file. This should give me a clean log to look at. It'd be good if you could also post the name of the recording, and the time it should have started and stopped.

Usually you won't have to map the EPG to your IPTV service - it would have been mapped correctly during the import, based on the tvg-id etc in the m3u/xml.

Was yours not mapping durring import? If you're ok with PM me your m3u/xml urls, I can briefly check it for you. If there was a bug in NextPVR related to this, I'll fix it. Otherwise I should be able to tell you why it's not able to map the EPG source for your IPTV service.

Ok, I'll reset and resend the log files along with the URLs later today or tomorrow, 7/24/2021.

My EPG would not map with the URL...as best as I can tell...I let NextPVR sit overnight with the URL EGP and nothing...The IPTV service returns the EPG from their web site as a *.gz file.  When I unzipped the file and placed it in my C:\EPG it seems to "see" it there.  I'll try adding the EPG URL again and see if any thing changes.  As of right now, the only way I can update the EPG is via the channels spanner in settings - one channel at a time.

I'm assuming you want the URLs as delivered from my service provider versus the UNzipped XML tv guide file; correct?

How do I PM you? Think I know but just want to be sure?  Thank you!

Yes, I just want the urls you entered on the Import M3U screen, so I can try it here, and check the data that gets returned etc.

You can send a PM by clicking the paper plane type icon (lower left of my post).
